We want to thank all our returning volunteers and our new volunteers for sharing their time and talent with our students.  The good news is that we have enough volunteers to cover our Sunday CCE and Life Teen classes.   This is not the situation with our Wednesday CCE and EDGE classes.   We need help and invite you to prayerfully consider volunteering.   Please contact Mary Ellen Doskocil at 806-698-6400 or e-mail medoskocil@holyspiritlubbock.org to volunteer or to learn more about our programs.

Our CCE program serves children Pre-K 4 years old by September 1 and Kindergarten children 5 years old by September 1 and then grades 1^st through 6^th.  We also offer an RCIC class on Sunday for students in 3^rd grade – 16 years of age who have not made their first communion. We are blessed with such large numbers of students that it is necessary to offer classes on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00 pm and on Sundays from 9:15-10:15am.

We are required to have two volunteers in each classroom per the diocese with Safe Environment certification.  This certification merely requires a 45-minute on-line class.  To offer all these classes we need a minimum of 34 volunteers.  We would really like to have three volunteers in Pre-K and Kindergarten and in second grade sacrament preparation classes which brings the number of volunteers needed to 41.

Our EDGE program serves 7^th and 8^th grade, and our Life Teen program serves 9^th through 12^th grade.  The students meet as a group and then move to small group instruction.  EDGE meets on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30 pm and Life Teen on Sundays from 5:15-6:30pm.  We would like to have 10 volunteers to serve EDGE and 10 for Life Teen.

Confirmation preparation classes will be offered this year for 8^th and 9^th grade.  Classes will meet from 6:30-7:30pm on Sundays and we will need 6 volunteers, 3 for each class.
