St. Benedict’s Holy Spirit has a group of volunteers that prepares a meal and serves the homeless at St. Benedict’s every sixth Saturday.

Wow! There was a huge crowd of homeless and less fortunate at St. Benedict’s Saturday, November 11th. THANK YOU to all the volunteers who baked enough Chicken Spaghetti and Desserts to feed 322 people. We ran out of food after serving 300 full meals, but fortunately, St. Benedict’s has pre-packaged sandwiches, chips, desserts and water for those extra people that needed food. No one goes away without food.

We would not have been able to feed 300 people with a warm meal without all of your help.
That was our largest number of meals since Holy Spirit began serving on Saturdays. Obviously, we have many people without adequate food in Lubbock. Thanks to all that rallied around to meet the need of the poor, there seems to be more every week in need.
Our next Saturday to provide food and serve will be December 23rd. Please put it on your calendar!

If you would be willing to bake a large pan of chicken spaghetti (recipe available) and/or help prepare and hand out meals on July 8th from 4:00-6:00 PM, please call the office at: 806-698-6400.

This is a great opportunity to make a difference in our community.
