Parish Council Report

The Parish Council met on November 9th. The council received reports from each of the parish commissions. Under old business Bill Campbell gave a report on the outcome of the recent Time and Talent initiative. David and Debbie Powell reported on the outcome and future plans for the Fatima Celebration held in October. Regarding the development of the north side of the church, it was reported that a 4-member committee has been formed to explore plans but they are still waiting on a response from the bishop. Approximately 95% of the cleanup projects were completed on November 18th and 19th. More cleanup days are being planned.

Under new business the plans for the Advent Mission with Fr. Mike Joly were discussed. Val Montielh, president of the Women’s Group reported that they are working to increase the stability of the group. They are also currently forming a committee to review the scholarship process and will return to the Parish Council with an update. The Council then received updates on parish security and adjustments that are being implemented. Ryan Artho presented the quarterly finance report.

Father Rudi gave a report on the DCA collections. Since our assessment was lower that the funds collected, we received a rebate that was applied to our building fund.

The next parish council meeting will be Thursday, January 4th at 6:30 pm.
